Solar Panel Farms
Solar Farm Installation
Since 2021 we have been building solar farms across the country participating in a greener energy scheme.
How a solar farm comes together...
Our solar farms can range from 25 MW to over 300 MW. These farms pull in a very substantial amount of solar energy which is then converted into the electricity that most of us use to flick the kettle on in the morning.
The farms we have completed have been in various locations nationwide, including Wick (Bath), Layneswood Solar Farm (Newent), Ashorne Solar Farm (Royal Leamington Spa), Braintree farm, cotmoor farm, staveley farm & kimpton farm.
The first stage on-site is trenching. This is MV & DC (Direct Current) trenching which holds the electrical ducting containing the cables that transmit the energy captured by the solar panels, straight to the inverters so the DC can be transferred to AC (Alternating Current). This power is stored in BESS (Battery energy storage system). Once the batteries are charged up, the remaining energy produced from the panels can be fed back to the national grid.
